Make a flowchart by describing it

Drawing a flowchart by hand is mostly dragging boxes and re-routing arrows. Describe the process instead: the AI works out the steps and the decisions, and Kaavit lays them out and draws the connectors.

The prompt: flowchart for password reset

A real result for the four-word prompt above: steps, decisions with Yes and No branches, and a loop back to try again.

How the flowchart generator works

  1. 1Open the AI prompt on any board and describe the process — a few words, or every rule you know.
  2. 2The AI plans the steps, the decisions and the connections. It never places anything: Kaavit's layout lays the flowchart out and routes every connector, so it reads left to right without crossings where it can.
  3. 3The flowchart lands as ordinary shapes and connectors. Rename a step, drag a shape — its connectors follow — or add a branch by hand.
  4. 4Not what you meant? Revert it in one step, and ask again with more detail.

Change it by asking

Select part of a flowchart and ask for a change — add an error path, split a step in two — and the AI works on what you selected, matching the colours already there.

Questions

Can I edit the flowchart after it is generated?

Yes. Everything the AI draws is ordinary shapes, text and connectors, the same as if you had drawn them. Connectors stay attached as you move shapes.

Which shapes does it use?

Usually rounded boxes for start and end, boxes for steps and diamonds for decisions, as in the example — ask for something else and it follows.

Is the AI free to use?

The Free plan includes a one-time AI trial for your organisation, and the Team plan includes AI credits for every member. Using AI needs a verified email address.
